Criteria and Important Dates

In order to even be eligible to apply for candidacy you must meet the following Qualifying Criteria:

·        Grade Point Average of 90% or above.

·        Been at H.M. King High School for at least one semester.

·        Must have no more than 2 unexcused absences.

·        Must be a member of the sophomore, junior, or senior class.

·        Candidates shall be considered based on their service, leadership, and character.

*You will be notified by Ms. Slaughter on March 2-3, 2015 if you are eligible to apply.*

·        Once you are notified you will then have till March 13, 2015 at 4:25 pm to turn in your application.

·        You will then receive notification by April 2, 2015 as to your acceptance into the National Honor Society.
